Privacy
Your privacy, in plain English
Here's what happens to your information when you use our website. We've kept it short and easy to read.
The short version
- You don't need an account to use this website.
- We never ask for your name, age, address or phone number.
- We don't have adverts, and we don't use tools that follow you around the internet.
- If you email us, we get your email address and your message. That's all.
What is this page about?
This page is about the Helix Play Games website: helixplaygames.com. Our games will have their own privacy information, because games can work differently from websites.
What happens when I visit the website?
Almost nothing. Our website is stored with a company called Cloudflare, which sends our pages to your device. Like any website, it can see some basic technical things, such as your device's internet address (an IP address) and which web browser you use. Cloudflare may keep records like these to keep the website working and safe from hackers.
We don't use those details to find out who you are.
Do you use cookies?
A cookie is a tiny file a website can save on your device so it remembers you. We don't use cookies to track you, and when we checked, this website wasn't setting any. We don't use advertising tools or visitor-counting tools either. If Cloudflare ever needs to check that a visitor isn't a robot, it might use a small security cookie, which is a normal thing for websites to do.
What if I email you?
Our Contact page has an email address. If you write to us, we can see your email address and everything you put in your message. We use it to reply to you. We won't sell it, and we won't share it with other companies.
If you're young, it's a good idea to ask a parent or carer before you email anyone. And please don't put private things in a message to us, like your home address, phone number or school.
Want to see, change or delete something you sent us? Just ask, or ask a grown-up to ask for you.
Staying safe online
- Keep personal things private: your full name, where you live, your school and your passwords.
- Ask a parent, carer or teacher before you share anything about yourself.
- If something online makes you feel worried or uncomfortable, tell a grown-up you trust.
For parents and carers
Helix Play Games is based in the United Kingdom. This website has no accounts, sign-up forms, comments, advertising or analytics. The only personal information we receive through it is what a visitor chooses to send us by email at hello@helixplaygames.com. We use it only to respond, and we delete it when we no longer need it.
Emails pass through Cloudflare's email forwarding service and our email provider on their way to us. They handle messages on our behalf, and we don't share them with anyone else. Cloudflare also serves this website and may process technical data such as IP addresses while doing so. Cloudflare is a company based in the United States, so this information may be handled outside the UK. You can read about how Cloudflare handles data in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Your rights. You can ask us what information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@helixplaygames.com and we'll help.
Complaints. If you're unhappy with how we've handled information, please email hello@helixplaygames.com and we'll look into it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
